Living by the sea, it’s hard to resist adding the odd cute coastal touch to your decor.
I don’t usually go mad – just the odd smattering of driftwood and shells – but when I saw this broken beach hut in the charity shop for £1, I felt the urge to do a (very) mini makeover.
Now, as you can see, these are not really ‘Suse’ colours. They’re close, but not close enough.
So the first job was to paint the little hut in my very favourite pretty light blue.
The front door went a bright, milkshake pink.
I was inspired by this dinky little hook I bought from the RNLI Lifeboats shop.
The roof went a sunny shade of lemon yellow: yum.
The front door got a little sticky flair knocker and some teeny-tiny brass hinges from the local hardware shop (69p for the pair: bargain).
I’m not sure what the cherries are for, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
So, so cute!
Now I just need to look out for a teeny-tiny person wanting a beach day.
Let’s chat!
